Firstly, I would like to point out that I do not have trouble sleeping. I can sleep anywhere and I think my favourite time of day is about 8:30pm…the kids are properly asleep and it’s the time when I know I won’t be disturbed for at least 9 (ish) hours.
My kids sleep in that way that kids do. They are hideous and grumpy until about 30 minutes before bed and then they miraculously find a burst of energy which results in the usual ‘I’m not tired’ arguments until I wrestle them into bed.
I decided to buy the Lush Serendipity Soap and Sleepy Body Lotion to see if it would zen my girls out during that painful 30 minutes. Let me tell you, this stuff works! Firstly my daughter loved the colour of the soap. I love the wax paper it comes in too. Unwrapping it feels like you are opening a pressie. The soap smells beautifully of lavender and lathers up into an abundance of foam which doesn’t feel drying at all.
The body lotion also smells amazing and the girls were yawning as soon as I smothered them in it. My youngest daughter struggles with eczema and I was a little apprehensive. I need not have worried. By morning the redness on the back of her legs had almost disappeared which must be due to the oatmeal it contains. It also keeps skin really moisturised.
People give this stuff a go….even for kids with sensitive skin. Buy some now before the bank holiday starts and just maybe you will feel more rested by Tuesday morning.
